shot from my hotel room was about as close as I was going to get with my camera. Ten
feet from the place, I would have been soaked. And this is nothing. It's still
morning. By mid-afternoon, this scene will be filled wall-to-wall with people and
cars -- all dripping. Songkran is why I have only one photo from Chiang
